MSI Engine beta released on 2010-05

We're please to announce new beta version of MSI Engine has been already in Client-Area section, you're now able to try with and give us any feedback if you encounter at support {at} bbpixel.com.

New features:

  • Completely new Ajax system for Client forms such as Registration, Login, Password recovery, etc...
  • Completely new Image Captcha system: you are tired of typing these verify code? Yes, now you can use single mouse click in order to validate your form.
  • Fully working on Separately Servers: your sites are hosted on every different servers? Yes, we support it. 
  • Fully working on Separately Domain names: you are now able to integrate yourForum.com or yourCMS.com or yourWordPress etc... together
  • Fully working on Separately Database servers: your database is large and it requires every system running on its own database server? Yes, we support it.
  • Multiple Joomla, vBulletin, IP.Board copies are supported: You want to create your own small network with multiple copies of the same system and require single logon? Yes, we support it.
  • Added new ability to Enable/Disable either on Login Form or Registration form.
  • Added new ability to design your Own Ajax Popup form
  • Supported latest Joomla 1.5.17, vBulletin 4.0.3, vBulletin 3.8.5 (new), WebSpell 4.2.2b (not SE version)

 

This is a current beta version and it might lacks of documentation on how to install/upgrade, please feel free to contact if you have any problem. Below is a brief instruction on how to do upgrade/install this new beta version. You should consider the old documents of installing instruction first, it is at Documents section.

 

  1. MSI Core (msiengine.core.2010.zip)
    1. Backup your own file msi/config.php for reference purpose.
    2. Extract package and copy over written to own MSI core files at yoursite.com/msi folder.
    3. Rename new config.php-dist to config.php and fill with new settings value
  2. MSI Plugin for vB (msiengine.vb403.203.zip)
    • Uninstall BBPixel product on your current vB ACP, then re-install new xml product file
    • + New HTML code for Login form/registration, etc forms

    • <a href="#msiubox" name="usercp">UserCP Dialog Box</a><br />

    • Uninstall MSI Login module and reinstall with new Login module
  4. Database update
    • + Open Phpmyadmin and go to MSI database, run as follows queries:
    • UPDATE msi_plugin SET name = 'vbulletin4' WHERE name = 'vbulletin';
    • UPDATE msi_member SET imp_sys = 'vbulletin4' WHERE imp_sys = 'vbulletin';Finished
